We forget that Aubrey Huff is necessary to the Giants. We forget because he’s largely been absent this season — he’ s hardly contributed. But he did contribute on Tuesday night and that reminds us what he used to do.

Face it, the Giants need one more hitter to actually hit. They need to score runs. And even though their pitching is great, their pitchers always seem to be under pressure to be perfect because they know the team doesn’t score. If Huff comes around he will join Beltran, Keppinger and Sandoval as legitimate threats. That would mean a lot to the Giants.
