I listened to the top of the first on Cardinals radio. Twice the announcers said Zito will pitch Game 4. Really? I checked with Giants PR. A guy said, “That’s news to Boch. He hasn’t announced anything yet.” That’s what I thought.

Timmy deserve a chance, he has pitched pretty well in relief, and. I know Zito pitched well against the Card in August, but I don’t have much trust in him.

I know a few fans claimed the umps were “squeezing” Zito’s zone in the play-off game, but I watched on MLB Game Day app which shows the pitching locations, and the umps were right on and Zito did not have good location. Meanwhile, Timmy has been lights out in his play off appearances and throws 7-10 miles per hour faster than Zeets, minimum. Bochy deserves to be fired if he chooses Zito over Lincecum.

The Giants are a flawed team, a thin team, and the real question is why Sabean never went after Carlos Beltran with an obvious hole to fill in right field. If the billionaire hedge fund manager who now runs this team doesn’t go out in the off-season and sign a couple of hitters, then the sportswriters in the Bay Area ought to ask a simple question: how much money has this franchise pocketed in the last three years? The fans deserve better than Pence, Belt, Blanco, Crawford & a pitcher, out after out, almost two innings of outs every time through this line up.
