I was kindly sent this link which explains lots about fines in the NBA. The people who sent it told me it’s relevant to us because Mark Jackson just got fined $25,000 for trying to influence the refs with his two tirades about dirty ball in the playoffs. The league was right, although Jackson may have been right to raise the issue — although I don’t think Denver played any dirtier than the Warriors. But that’s ancient history considering the Denver Nuggets are history and the Warriors are still alive, alive enough to face the San Antonio Spurs. To access the link, please click here.
