Game 5 will start in about an hour and I’ve attended the pregame news conferences and gabbed with Phil Barber and Marty Lurie and Scott Ostler and Michael Duca, and now I’m blogging about Charlie Manuel’s eyebrows.

When he gets a question he doesn’t like Manuel raises his eyebrows. Nothing unusual in that. It’s just that he raises and lowers them at least three times. He has dancing eyebrows. If you make his eyebrows dance you know you’ve hit a nerve. He answers anyway because he’s polite. But I’ve never met a manager with such dancing eyebrows.
